COMMUNITY IMPACT

Automated Shade Gives Back

The team at Automated Shade believes it’s important to give back to their community.

Founders Juergen and Gabriela Borchert volunteer regularly in the cancer section at the South Lake Hospital. Gabriela, a counselor, reaches out to those who are struggling with abuse, addictions, depression, divorce and other challenges that come our way in this journey of life. Juergen helps out with the “Inn From the Cold” program.

Andy works with youth, mentoring them and helping them develop life skills through organizations like Youth Unlimited and his church.

Jey helps new immigrants integrate into the workforce through the annual International Educated Professionals (IEP) conference. He also helps fundraise for the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) and teaches life skills courses for youth at Goodwill. Other areas include working with the local police community to increase awareness about safety and fraud prevention. Jey also travelled to Rwanda with his family, bringing toys, vitamins, books and flashlights and helping with an educational outreach and a project to help unemployed women start businesses.

Eva is our new mascot who brings joy and warmth to our community of clients, prospects and stakeholders.
